Christina Jékey was born in Brussels in 1962 but her family is from Hungary. After being an artist for more than 20 years, her passion led her in 2002 to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels where she obtained her master's degree magna cum laude.

"Tireless explorer of the many possibilities offered by several materials like wood, metal, stone, plexiglas and glass, Christina Jékey employs space intensely. She brings to light all the possibilities of the original material and invents a new life for it. She develops a demanding work, looking for its own coherence; a work that questions the laws of the universe and who very simply dares to assert beauty in the tradition of great contemporary sculptors.
